Five Years in a Row: Best Places to Work

For the fifth consecutive year, Salesforce has been named one of San Francisco's Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times. Recognition like this makes me both grateful for our Salesforce family and humbled because of the incredible companies that we stand beside on the list. As San Francisco is where I'm based, I've been able to experience, first hand, the last 12 amazing months we've had here.

Rolling out the welcome mat

We moved into our beautiful new headquarters last year, Salesforce Tower, with a celebration that featured a concert, volunteer work, and a $1.5 million donation to Hamilton Families’ Heading Home Initiative, to end long-term family homelessness in San Francisco. Inside, the sun-bathed open spaces help employees be innovative, successful, and most importantly — thrive. And as we continue to grow, so will our San Francisco footprint, with our signing on to be the lead tenant of a new tower that will rise on the other side of the Salesforce Transit Center by 2023.

Force for good

At Salesforce, giving back has been part of our DNA since the beginning. Founded on the 1-1-1 model of integrated philanthropy, Salesforce has been committed to giving back to our communities for 20 years through employee volunteer time, grants, and technology. In fact, every employee begins their Salesforce career with volunteer work built into their Day One onboarding experience. In 2018, our San Francisco Ohana gave an incredible 198k hours of service to communities in the Bay Area and beyond. And our beautiful Ohana Floor on the 61st floor of Salesforce Tower is made available to nonprofits to host their own events on weeknights and weekends.

Celebrate good times

At Salesforce, we like a good party ... or any reason to eat cupcakes. Last year, Koa Club, our group of employees with 10 or more years in the Ohana, brought in 1500 members from around the world to attend its annual black-tie gala. The San Francisco Ohana's 2018 Winter Celebration was also an event to remember, held at the California Academy of Sciences museum and included a fundraiser to help victims of the California wildfires. And we recently celebrated our 20th anniversary in true Salesforce form — with volunteer work, cupcakes, and a private concert with music sensation Pitbull on our Salesforce Plaza.

Family first

At Salesforce, we take care of each other, have fun together, and work collaboratively to make the world a better place. In San Francisco, and in our offices around the world, we're focused on creating a culture where employees feel safe to take risks, speak up, and be their authentic selves. These are critical elements in our fight for the equality of every human being, whether they're an employee or not. In 2018, our employees told us how important it is for our products to be used for good, so we created our new Office of Ethical and Humane Use of Technology.

Being recognized for Salesforce's amazing culture is gratifying. It's a testament to the special place that our employees have created together. If you're interested in joining Salesforce, please visit our careers page.
