Connections ‘19 has landed and it’s a doozy. This year there are 450+ sessions, keynotes, demos, and hands-on workshops for you to learn from, not to mention 140+ partners that will extend the power of the Salesforce Platform. We’re ready to help Trailblazers level up their customer engagement strategies by strengthening the combined power of marketing, commerce, and service. And that’s only half of it — you’ll need to leave room for connecting with fellow Trailblazers, giving back to the community, and celebrating at a legendary concert.
The next three days will be a whirlwind, but stick with our blog, and we’ll do all the heavy lifting, providing you with on-the-ground coverage, as well as — event highlights and all the latest news and product announcements. Here’s today’s agenda for an afternoon start.
Can’t make it to Chicago? Watch from anywhere on Salesforce LIVE.
1. Pick up your badge and download the Events app
If you haven’t already picked up your badge, you can do so starting at 7:00 a.m. You’ll need a badge to access everything — including the concert — so keep it on you at all times. Also, now’s a good time to download the Salesforce Events app. You can build and view your personalized schedule, win prizes and give back by playing Quest, get logistical information and more. Download for iOS | Android.
2. Lunch with fellow trailblazing women
Back at Connections, and just as inspiring as last year: the Trailblazing Women Luncheon. Hear from a panel of female leaders, engage in lively discussions, and get to know other Salesforce customers, partners, employees, and other inspirational leaders. Register now — it's free, but you must be a full conference Connections attendee to get in! Please note, this is a first come, first serve event, so please arrive early to assure your spot!
3. Learn how NPR’s Peter Sagal has stayed authentic and built legions of fans
Consumers with an emotional connection to a brand have a higher lifetime value, stay with a brand longer, and will recommend a brand at a much higher rate. So how do you create that trust and emotional connection? By being authentic. Hear from Peter Sagal, host of NPR’s “Wait Wait...Don’t Tell Me!” on how he creates and maintains powerful and meaningful relationships while also staying true to his values.
4. Attend a fireside chat with cultural trailblazer Yo-Yo Ma
Whether it’s performing on a live stream for millions, playing for world leaders, or jamming with Muppets on Sesame Street, world-renowned musician Yo-Yo Ma has made it his mission to convey a powerful message: culture has the power to connect all of us. In a discussion with award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien, Ma will discuss how culture can help us imagine and build a better future.
5. Network at the welcome reception
Enjoy some well-deserved refreshments and mingle with fellow Trailblazers at our welcome reception. It’ll be in the Customer Success Expo, so be sure to take a spin around to orient yourself with points of interest.
Don’t forget to check out the action for yourself on Salesforce LIVE and follow along on @salesforce and @dreamforce.
